About us
We are a family that loves animals! For years we have been raising chickens, ducks, turkeys, geese, sheep, cats and dogs. We are a small hobby kennel. We share 20 acres of mostly treed land with our son’s family. (A lot of space for dogs to play!) Right now we have only a couple of German Shepherd dogs. They alternate between living indoors and outdoors; while outdoors, they enjoy the comforts of a heated kennel.
Nutrition Care
We take care to provide a healthy, nutritious diet for our dogs. There are differing opinions on what to feed dogs. We’re trying to feed our dogs as close to a natural diet as possible. Some people disapprove of feeding raw bones and meat; however, dogs are naturally meat-eaters in the wild. Raw or baked meat, organs, and bones are completely digestible and have great nutritional benefits to dogs. Besides meat, our dogs enjoy boiled eggs, cheese (as treats), yogurt, apples, blueberries, cantaloupe, watermelon, carrots, green beans, and pears. In addition to the raw diet, we feed our dogs dry food of good quality (with more than 25% protein, and no corn, wheat or soy).
